These are from greenfire farms imported bloodlines direct imports from FRANCE. They stopped carrying the black variety now too. These have been removed from the critically endangered list and moved to the "watch." This is not the strain like American hatcheries sell. They are huge. Roosters are about 10lbs. I have total or 2 roosters and 3 hens . A pair is $100. If you want the extra hen she is $40 more since your buying the other pair. I have these in with my imported spitzhauben currently. The crevocuers barely fit through my mini coop auto door. I was going to get another coop setup but I have my hands full as it is decided not to raise this breed and stay to smaller birds. They are cold hearty breed. Supposed to be great eating but I would never unless starving lol.
